Carrie Grochow, MA, LMHC, CGP
I am a licensed mental health counselor, a certified group psychotherapist, and a certified sleep consultant currently practicing home-based and virtual therapy on Long Island, NY. I have over 15 years experience working in private practice and for the NYC Board of Education, where I specialized in many different areas including life transitions, relationship/family issues, anxiety, depression and child/adolescent behavioral concerns. I have also served on the Board of Directors for GroupWORKS for Education, a not-for-profit training and research center for counselors and educators, taught a 12 hour Principles of Group Psychotherapy course and served as a learning specialist at the Moses Center for Students with Disabilities at New York University.
However, once I became a mother I realized my true passions lay with helping mothers suffering from postpartum issues and helping their babies with sleep issues. I began asking questions like, "Who is taking care of mom while she's taking care of the baby?" "How is anyone able to do anything while running on such little sleep?" Once I became certified as a sleep consultant through the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting, along with my mental health licenses, I knew I was ready to help moms find the answers! Hopefully I can help you!
